Produktion
During production, I worked in a role as designer/editor where I took part in designing and planning the overall flow between the different sections, and deciding what part of interwevs were going into the final edit.
I also went out in the field recording the majority of the field recordings and some of the sound effects used in the project. This was done using lots of different stereo/mono recording techniques and microphones.
Recording fire turned out to be one of the more difficult tasks due to the fact that flames are surprisingly quiet. I ended up with an ORTF setup in front of a blazing fireplace. The difficulty was to come close enough with the microphones to get a good sound-to-noise ratio and a “big” sound, without the microphones getting too hot. A larger fire pit in a secluded era, would have been a better source for the fire sound.
Post-production
During the post-production phase, I had the leader role and was responsible for coordinating the team, making sure we were on the right path and complied with diverse deadlines. I also did a big part of the dialogue editing and mixing
