Delivery_specs

When delivering a project for sound editing, please follow these guidelines, to ensure that we as the Sound Designer get what we need to complete the job. Better to do it right the first time, than waste pressure time going back and forth between the Sound-studio and Editing-suite.

Video

  • The file type must be a 1080p .mov video file. (DNxHD 36)
  • Include a stereo audio track in the video file for reference.
  • The video must have a burn-in showing the timecode and preferably scene, slate, and take as well.
  • Set the First Frame of Action (FFoA) on the timecode equal to 01:00:00:00.
Please also define the Last Frame of Action (LFoA) for final deliveries.
  • Have a Counting Leader with a 2pop 2 seconds prior to FFoA.
  • Give the video file a good name including date, state of edit, and a consistent numbering system like:

“MovieName_StateOfEdit_25082023_v01.mov”

Lyd Designe

  • Export an AAF including all audio tracks clean from the set. (No added effects)
  • A copy of all original audio recorded/used. (From set or licensed)
  • If possible, include all sound reports from the set here as well.
  • A cue sheet of all scores/music including timecodes and status of licensing.
